While it might not have occurred to you to wonder what Bistro Mirage is all about, I’ve spent a great deal of time pondering the question. What follows, then, are some tentative attempts to explain the backstory of, motivations behind and maybe even meanings lying beneath the metaphors of Bistro and Mirage arranged by length.

  1. I love your site, but have one question: how do I share it with others? A friend was able to access the bistromirage.com site but couldn’t hear my mother’s recording (Puccini song, under “New Stuff” No. 5). Her computer told her it was “corrupt”, and we’re not sure what that means. I was able to hear it on my desktop computer. Do you have any suggestions, or was this just a problem unique to her computer and whatever program it runs? (Mine is Windows 7)

    • Hello, Angie! Maury here–we met at my dad’s place a few years ago, I think.

I wish I could give you advice about how your friend can hear Angelina’s beautiful song. It plays on my Mac computers and your Windows machine but not hers, huh? If you can get me any more info about her computer, her operating system, the browser she uses and any other info you think might be pertinent I will do my best to figure it out!

      Stay well,

      Maury
